Mayank Bhatter

I'm indecisive - so I put my hands in every pot I can!...sometimes there are thorns. :(

Mayank Bhatter is the rare breed of LA native! He's also left handed, making him an even rarer unicorn. After attending the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, he majored in Theater & Economics and minored in Business & Engineering at Northwestern. (All In UNDER 4 years…#nbd) After a BORING stint in the corporate world, he's returned to the entertainment industry (mostly for its financial stability.) In his spare time he enjoys dancing in front of a mirror & very light weightlifting. He spends most of his time with his new puppy Chai. He also really wants a job. But like a cool job. Not a dumb job.  

ACTING

TV wise, he can be seen biking across India in Silicon Valley, directing children's theater on Fuller House, or on South Park, Taylor Swifting across the screen. Other shows include Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Startup, Famous in Love, among others. Film wise, he can be seen shaving his beard in The Avengers movie to look like Tony Stark, in THE TIGER HUNTER opposite Danny Pudi, Rizwan Manji, Kevin Pollak, Karen David, Sam Page, Parvesh Cheena and Jon Heder which released in theaters to rave reviews and now is on Netflix. Another film, TRAFFICKED, opposite Ashley Judd and Sean Patrick Flanery is on Amazon Prime. DRIVING WHILE BLACK, that finished the festival circuit with multiple awards can also be found on Prime. Coming up, catch him in on Criminal Minds on CBS or the AFI Film STALLED.  He's also going to be on two shows on some children's app called Snapchat. They AREN'T children's shows....so he's very confused but happy to be working!   

PRODUCING

Producing wise, his company, Mm...Buttered Panini Productions, has produced 2 feature films with multiple more in development and a few pilot tv shows as well. His prior two films:

LOVE IS STRANGE starring John Lithgow, Alfred Molina and Marisa Tomei which was sold to Sony Pictures Classics at Sundance 2014 and has done very well at the box office. 

LOITERING WITH INTENT starring Sam Rockwell, Marisa Tomei, Brian Geraghty, Isabelle McNally, Michael Godere, and Ivan Martin was sold at Tribeca 2014 and was released in theaters in early 2015!

CASTING

Casting wise, he currently is working on a few independent feature films by himself. His first solo film casting venture, BLISS, which was just at Tribeca 2019, Whaaa?

Prior to that he worked with Casting Director Lindsey Weissmueller on the acclaimed Sundance 2018 darling, SEARCHING. He also worked on the recent pilot pickup remake of PARTY OF FIVE for Sony/Freeform. He's also worked on the critically acclaimed and highly viewed, Adam Ruins Everything series on TruTV. Before that, he worked as a casting associate at Zane/Pillsbury Casting. With Zane/Pillsbury, he worked on the hit ABC Family/Freeform show PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, the USA show GRACELAND, and the pilot of Bella Thorne's new show, FAMOUS IN LOVE. Previously, he worked for Nancy Nayor for 3 years and has helped cast over a dozen films and tv shows including: THE CONFIRMATION with Clive Owen and Maria Bello, BOY NEXT DOOR with Jennifer Lopez, OUIJA, THE LAST WORD, BREAKPOINT with Jeremy Sisto, Amy Smart, JK Simmons and David Walton, THE MESSENGERS series on CW, EYE CANDY series on MTV and many others!

WRITING

Writing wise, he finished working on the CBS Diversity showcase 2015 - Since then, he's written a few funny pilots - hopefully they will be on the air sometime soon! 

DANCING

He does a lot of Bollywood - on troupes and in people's wedding's for fun!
